Our story

A dry doorway on a wet Tuesday

We met in the rain, in the one doorway on Alvarado Street that was dry. Theo had a broken umbrella and a bag of tangerines. Maya had a dead phone and nowhere to be. Forty minutes later neither of them had anywhere to be.

Seven years, three apartments and one very opinionated cat later, Theo proposed in the orchard where we will be married, between the rows of orange trees, holding a bag of tangerines. Maya said yes before he finished the sentence, then asked if she could keep the tangerines.

We are not doing a long list of rules. Come hungry, bring shoes you can dance in, and plan to stay late. The people on this page are the ones who got us here, and we would like every one of you in the same place, under the same string lights, at the same long tables.
